MADE IN HOUT BAY - OUR STORY

FlameBos was inspired by the natural beauty of the Cape's mountains, beaches, and everything that goes with it.

We believe the only way to protect this is to move away from fast, throw-away fashion and produce affordable, locally-made products.

All of our art, design, and printing is done in-house using quality locally sourced materials. We've gone old school, using traditional silk screening for all our apparel.

MAKE LOCAL, BUY LOCAL

With the rise of fast, disposable fashion, we strive to reduce our environmental impact by sourcing as much of our materials locally as possible. Our T-shirts use 100% cotton yarn that is spun and knitted in SA, and then sewn here in Cape Town. We also use water-based inks, which are far more environmentally friendly.

HAND PRINTED

Silkscreen prints have a soft texture and vibrant colors and are much more durable than many of the cheap, mass-produced transfer print shirts available nowadays. It's a very time-consuming and difficult process to get right, but we have invested in the equipment and training because we believe it's still one of the best methods for printing.

WE LOVE T-SHIRTS!

And we love designing them. Since we handle all our printing in-house, we can experiment with designs, layouts, and colors without the cost of a large print run. This allows us to release new limited-edition designs almost weekly. SUMMER IS HERE!

And it's a great time to visit a local market. We will be at Hout Bay Market most weekends, so why not pop in to say Hi? We will also be running specials at the stall, making it a perfect time to stock up on shirts and gifts.
